About Me
Hello, I'm Leon Laubscher, the founder of True North Climate Advisory.After a decade dedicated to corporate sustainability and climate strategy, I launched True North to provide a focused, partner-led advisory service. My mission is simple: to help businesses cut through the complexity of decarbonization and find their unique 'True North'—a climate strategy that is not only compliant and credible but also core to their long-term value and resilience.My career has given me a deep understanding of the challenges large organizations face. As Climate Strategy Manager at Unilever, I supported the global climate and Net Zero program, led global GHG emissions reporting, and helped drive decarbonization initiatives. Before that, as the Climate Team Lead at Nexio Projects, I managed numerous consulting projects, from sustainability strategy to corporate carbon footprinting. This hands-on experience has made me an expert in the world's leading sustainability frameworks and standards, including the GHG Protocol, CDP, CSRD, and SBTi.
